A few months ago, Blake Hall had a great idea: getting together all the folks interested in and/or working with Drupal in Wisconsin. He set up a wiki and waited for DrupalCamp Wisconsin to self-organize. Well, probably not that passively, but nonetheless…
So this week, Blake emailed all the people who have signed up on the wiki to date. “Let’s set up a planning meeting,” he said, with a proposed date and place. The response to that email has been a little underwhelming.
If you’re interested in getting together sometime this fall to learn (and teach, and discuss) all things Drupal, and content management, now is the time to make it happen. Sign up on the wiki, or leave a comment here, ideally with a date and time that you could make a planning meeting in the next two weeks. If you can come to Madison, actual people will meet there. Blake will also set up an IRC channel for virtual participation, so even if you can’t be there in person, it’s no excuse.
When this thing starts rolling, I’m sure a great time will be had by all. But first we’ve got to get the ball to the top of the hill.
